TRA Assessment Review Policy – Update 2025
Key Change: 28-Days TRA Assessment Review Period
As of September 2025, applicants now have 28 calendar days for TRA Assessment review from the date of their assessment outcome to request a review. This update applies across all TRA programs, including the Job Ready Program (JRP), Migration Skills Assessment (MSA), and Offshore Skills Assessment Program (OSAP).
What This Means for You
- Strict 28-Day Window: Review requests submitted after this period may be ineligible.
- Assessment of Late Requests: TRA will assess eligibility based on the original decision date and the date the review request was submitted.
- Potential Refunds: Applicants who submit a review outside the eligibility period may be notified and may be offered a refund Trades Recognition Australia.
How to Request a Review
- Obtain the Review Fee Code: Contact the TRA-approved Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that provided your original skills assessment outcome to advise of your intention to seek a review and to obtain the relevant fee code.
- Complete the Review Request Form: Fill out the TRA Assessment Review Request Form.
- Submit Your Request: Email the completed form and proof of payment to: traenquiries@dewr.gov.au.
